ROD GIMPEL

BASS/GUITAR/VOCALS

By day, he's a school teacher; by night, he lays down the groove for his Innuendo bandmates. Originally the lead guitarist for his high school band "Blue Steel" in Georgetown, Ontario, Rod found his true calling in the low end, locking in tight with drummer Shan Bricker to drive the rhythm that gets people moving.

Rod’s passion for music runs deep. Whether contributing vocals, ukulele, electric, or acoustic guitar, he brings versatility and energy to every performance, and he appreciates rich, deep vocals with lots of harmony.

He emphasizes the importance for the band to adjust to whatever mood the occasion calls for; bottom line, the clients are always right! Known for his easygoing charm and crowd-pleasing abilities, Rod’s all about reading the room and keeping the dance floor alive. After all, the bottom end and drums provide the foundational structure that will undoubtedly motivate you to bust a move.

At the end of the day - "it’s all about the bass!"

DARRELL KUWABARA

GUITAR/VOCALS

Darrell has years of experience as a guitarist and vocalist, having played hundreds of engagements within the Kitchener-Waterloo area and at venues throughout Ontario.

He is a founding member of Innuendo and also performs with fellow bandmate Rod Gimpel in the duo “Double Impact”. Darrell is a guitarist for “Disorderly Conduct”, entertaining at Waterloo Regional Police Service events.

Darrell’s guitar style is dynamic and tasteful; whether he is laying back in the mix or stepping up with a solo, subtle when needed or as assertive as you want him to be, he always delivers.

Vocally, he’s just as versatile. He loves providing the rich harmonies that are characteristic of an Innuendo show. His lead vocals contain a tone and feel that adds color, texture, and character to every performance, satisfying those on the dance floor and those viewing from their seats.

At the heart of it all, he’s thrilled to be part of a crew that shows up with passion, professionalism, and a shared love for the music.

PAUL CAMPOLONGO

KEYBOARDS

Paul’s musical journey began with Grade 8 conservatory piano and home concerts in the living room of his family home before branching out into live performances at high school assemblies. Paul’s career and exposure began to grow when, at the young age of 17, he joined an established musical ensemble, led by Don Singular, performing across the KW region.

The trio became well-known for its complex sound in the KW Golden Triangle area beginning in 1971, and Paul has been gigging ever since. Paul could be found playing a T-200 Hammond organ with a 145 Leslie and bass using one octave bass pedals to complement wind instruments and drums.

Paul’s musical influences include Santana, Tower of Power, Earth Wind & Fire, Chicago, Eagles, The Beatles, and today’s music featured in contemporary smooth jazz, R&B, Motown, Pop, and Rock.

As a founding member of Innuendo, Paul brings decades of experience. Whether he's laying down lush chords or adding that Hammond texture, Paul helps shape the band’s signature sound and presence.

After more than 40 years of friendship and collaboration with bandmate Darrell Kuwabara, Paul’s passion for performing is still going strong, and it shows in his unmistakable grin behind the keys every time he hits the stage with Innuendo.
